Social programme

Here is an outline of the main social and non-academic activities planned during the Forum. This page will be updated to include timings of extra events as they are finalised. Guest tickets can be purchased for accompanying partners to attend the Monday reception and the Gala evening - ticket prices are here.

Sunday 13 July registration/welcome at the Institute of Education

14.00-19.30 Registration desks open to delegates
16.00 Walking tours of Bloomsbury (free but limited places – please register interest in advance and sign-up on the day). Start from the Institute of Education
18.00- 19.30 Welcome drink – Roger Mills, Programme Director to welcome everyone in the Jeffrey and Crush Halls

Monday 14 July evening reception

All delegates are invited to a PCF5 welcome reception on the evening of 14 July
Venue: University College London, the Wilkins Building Cloisters
19.00 – 21.00 (arrivals from 18.30)
Dress: smart casual
Drinks and a finger buffet will be served

Tuesday 15 drinks reception at the Institute of Education

All delegates are invited to a drinks reception following the Excellence in Distance Education Awards
Hosts: The London International Development Centre
Venue: the Marquee at the Institute of Education
17.30 – 19.30
Drinks and nibbles will be served

Wednesday 16 July evening

18.00 Walking tours of Bloomsbury (free but limited places – register interest in advance and sign-up on the day) Start from the Institute of Education

Thursday 17 July gala evening

All delegates are invited to the Gala on the evening of 17 July
Venue: Congress Hall, Congress Centre, Great Russell Street
19.30 – 23.00
Dress: lounge suit
Drinks, canapes and a special ‘bowl menu’ will be served
Music and dancing
