The Institute of Education (IoE) is a graduate college of the University of London. It was founded in 1902 to deliver high quality training for teachers. Every year 1,000 graduates attend the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) courses. Over the years the Institute has expanded its range of courses offered leading to higher degrees in all areas of education and related aspects of the social sciences and professional practice. Many of these courses are offered on a part-time, and, increasingly, distance basis and are structured to suit the busy lives of people working in the education service. The Institute also hosts conferences responsive to the professional and personal requirements of education practitioners at all levels of the education system.
The Pan-Commonwealth Forum is taking place in and around the Logan Hall, the entrance to which is on Bedford Way, at ground level. See map.
